Mnemba Island

There is just the one lodge on Mnemba Island, shared with just a handful of other guests (and the few remaining, and highly endangered green sea turtles that breed here).

It is difficult to know where to begin in describing this tropical island paradise. Described by Conde Nast as 'One of the world's top three most romantic beach locations', it is barefoot luxury at its most consummate, although of course at a commensurate cost. If we say that it is one of Bill Gates' favoured retreats, does this convey the flavour of the place to you?

In addition, naturally, to possessing a flawless beach, Mnemba Island provides some of the whole of Africa's best dive sites, on a coral atoll within a noted marine conservation area. Snorkelling, kayaking. wind-surfing, fly fishing and deep-sea fishing are further activities available for the adventurous.
