A comparatively new addition to Stone Town's selection of small, intimate, boutique hotels. Owned by a Dutch couple, Frans and Cootje, the hotel provides personal service and attention, combined with a traditional and antique ambiance.
Its nine rooms range from small standard rooms, through a larger number of luxury rooms, to its two Palace Suites. All rooms are air-conditioned, and have a telephone, digital safe, cable TV and a DVD player.
Lunch and dinner are served in the 'Palace Restaurant', and the 'Sukinah' Bar serves a variety of drinks in Arabian surroundings, although happily the latter aspect does not extend to the prohibition of alcohol!
A luxury Spa completes the facilities available, offering European standards of 'wellness' treatment, to the point of outright pampering.
An airport and general taxi service can be booked, together with excursions within both Stone Town itself, and the Island in general.
